The SenStar Treatment Link is an essential component of the NeuroStar TMS
Therapy® System. The SenStar helps to make TMS Therapy® a more pleasant treatment
experience for patients by reducing stimulation of the scalp. SenStar also
ensures the treatment coil is properly functioning and positioned, allowing treating
physicians to determine that their patients receive the correct and maximal treatment.

SenStar has four key functions:
- Magnetic field confirmation to verify that the system pulse output is
accurate and consistent. This ensures that the patient will receive the
desired treatment dose. Learn more about magnetic field detection.
- Surface field cancellation which reduces stimulation by the magnetic field of the
patient's scalp while not affecting penetration of the magnetic field into the brain.
This creates a more pleasant treatment experience for patients while still delivering the
desired treatment pulses within the brain.
- Contact sensing to ensure the treatment coil is properly positioned against
the patient’s head, alerting the operator if contact is lost. This is important
as constant contact is necessary to reach the optimal treatment depth within the
